Jennifer Rice, the North Coast MLA and Parliamentary Secretary for Emergency Preparedness had opportunity to share some words of advice with those in Legislature on Wednesday, with a reminder for all of the approaching arrival of Thursday's Great BC Shake Out taking place at 10:19 today.
Shake Out Day is dedicated towards reminding residents of the province of the need for earthquake preparation and as part of her presentation to the legislature the MLA made note of the active seismic nature of the province, offering up a number of areas related to preparation for residents to keep in mind.
She also noted that the Legislature will be in session during the Shake Out Drill today, which offers up the chance for British Columbians to check in later through the Parliamentary video service to see if their MLA's have led the way when it comes to Dropping, Covering and Holding On.
You can learn more about today's event and register yourself, or your group with Shake Out BC organizers here.
