As it has in many years past, the safety of the participants was watched over by Prince Rupert Station  64 of the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue who were on patrol for the full period of the event.

The full accounting of how much money was raised by the Derby has yet to be provided by the Prince Rupert Lions Club.
