As part of the local response towards the suspension of Air Canada Services, the Prince Rupert and District Chamber of Commerce has created an on line survey, seeking to gain a snapshot of local airport usage from community members.
The survey was launched today through the Chamber's Facebook page.
In the preamble to the survey, the Chamber notes that in order for it to be an advocate for the community they need data to understand where the community stands when it come to Airport services in town.
Towards that data collection, the survey asks five questions and seeks any additional comments that those who participate may wish to make.
Among the Questions
How many times in the last 12 months have you used the Prince Rupert Airport for personal reasons (Health care/tourism/visiting family)?
How many times in the last 12 months have you used the Prince Rupert airport for commercial/business travel?
On a scale of 1-5: How important is it to you that you have an airport in the community?
On a scale of 1-5: How does the discontinuation of airport service impact your business operations?
In reference to the coverage you have been reading with regards to the loss of airport services in our community, what do you feel is the underlying issue?
The Chamber of Commerce does not list a deadline for submission of the survey; though they do advise that they hope to send out a report on the topic in the week ahead.
