Last flight out as of Sunday ... takes Prince Rupert off the Air traveller Destination Board

Normally a busy spot at 2PM on a weekday, the Prince Rupert 
Airport Shuttle Terminal on Sixth Street will be all but
abandoned for the foreseeable future. That as Air Canada's
air service to the City is now  suspended 

Sunday's flight operations at the Digby Island Airport marked the last scheduled passenger flight for the foreseeable future, as Air Canada began its Suspension of service to Prince Rupert.

Officials at the Prince Rupert Airport  announced the suspension of the service last Wednesday.

With Prince Rupert off the route list, the YVR Arrivals Board still delivers the state of air travel to the North West today; with the Terrace and Smithers airports still providing for the links to the Lower Mainland from the Northwest region of the province.

On Friday night, the Prince Rupert and District Chamber of Commerce outlined some notes on an airport survey that they are hosting, seeking feedback from the community on usage of the local airport.
