Prince Rupert makes for stopover for two candidates as Federal campaign moves on to September 20th vote

The first full day of campaigning for the 2021 election saw two candidates make Prince Rupert a destination to launch thirty six days of door knocking and conversations leading up to the September 20th vote.

Incumbent NDP MP Taylor Bachrach was in the city doing some main stressing and door knocking, showcasing his team working in the CowBay area on Monday, the NDP candidate is off to Lax Kw'alaams today to check in on the community north of Prince Rupert.

Conservative candidate Claire Rattée was in the city looking to build on her vote totals from two years ago, with a stop in at City Hall just one of her items on the to do list for Day One, the candidate exploring civic concerns with Mayor Lee Brain during her stop, More door knocking is on the agenda for the day on Tuesday before Ms. Rattée explores the rest of Skeena-Bulkley Valley.

The three other declared candidates to this point Rod Taylor, Jody Craven and Adeana Young did not outline their itineraries for day one of the short sprint to Election Day.
