Buy, sell, browse... usedprincerupert.com is now online

There's a new venue for North Coast residents to buy and or sell items, as a popular online classified portal has arrived in Prince Rupert.

UsedPrinceRupertcom, part of a nationwide listings service found across the country, has debuted its on  line classified website to the North Coast.

Offering local residents the opportunity to post their items for sale, the service which is owned by Black Press (publishers of the Northern View) has recently been introduced across Northern British Columbia.

The introduction to the Prince Rupert version was recently posted to the Northern View website.

One of the key selling points to the site, is the use of moderators who according to the item in the Northern View, scour the ad base hourly to ensure secure transactions, reduce spam and keep the content family friendly.

There are two approaches a user can take to posting their advertisement, a free classified or what is called a Featured Ad, which bumps the ad to the top of the listings of review for  a fee.

The Used Prince Rupert site, joins a string of other sites in the community that provide for the opportunity to try to buy or sell items in the region. It will be interesting to see if the new site will take on line traffic away from other local portals that currently provide that service for their users.
