One of the Northwest's major employers is making sure that Northwest Community College has some of the tools of the job when it comes to trades training.
Ridley Terminals Incorporated announced this week that they will be donating a number of pieces of de-commissioned industrial equipment to NWCC, providing for hands on experience on some of the major items that NWCC students may find on the job site when they join the workforce.
Among the items donated by RTI are; two bulldozers, an excavator, a grader, a forklift, an ambulance and a flat deck truck.
The various items will be be used for demonstrations, troubleshooting and repair practices in NWCC’s Heavy Duty Equipment Technician program.
Background on that popular program can be found here.
You can learn more about Ridley's donation and it's continued involvement in education in the Northwest from this article from the NWCC website.
