Northwest Community College to receive Bursary Award funding from Northern Gateway Pipelines
Students taking trades training through Northwest Community College will soon be able to access some 15,000 dollars in bursary funds, after an announcement from Northern Gateway pipelines outlined the nature of the scholarship program soon to be put in place.
Looking to address trades training requirements in Northern British Columbia, Northern Gateway is offering up the funding to help students access the skills that will be needed for the many job opportunities that are available in the resource sector of Northern British Columbia.
As part of their support for Northwest education, Northern Gateway Pipelines established the bursary program with NWCC, which will assist six students with the financial challenges that post secondary education presents.
The Northern Gateway program consists of six bursaries, for 2,500 dollars each. They will be available for full-time NWCC students who are studying trades, technology, science or environmental programs in 2013-14.
You can learn more about the bursaries from the NWCC website
