An opportunity for local groups to access some funding for their programs or needs was also well received, as our item related to a community funding program hosted by Pacific NorthWest LNG received a significant amount of interest over the last five weeks.
Provincial politics was the focus for many on the week, with the testing of the the political waters for the 2017 BC election by former Mayor Herb Pond of some interest for readers.
On that theme of elections, our look at how the outcome of the US election may have some impact on economic affairs on the North Coast found a good volume of reviews, with the number increasing significantly in the wake of the electoral success for Donald Trump, the new President-elect.
The North Coast sports scene also received some attention once again, with readers showing strong numbers as they checked our notes of Thursday related to a Go Fund Me project launched to help the CHSS Rainmaker Soccer team. With residents of the city already responding the call to help out with the team's upcoming trip to the Provincials in Burnaby.
However, the top story of the week takes us to exploring the dynamic between the Province and the City when it comes to seeking cooperative measures on local issues.
