With CityWest providing for a schedule that is pretty full of nights when the Rampage will be one of the featured attractions.
True, there will be no home games televised this year out of the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre, but when the Rhinos hit the road, the CityWest cameras will be on hand to showcase their efforts of the boys from Rupert, as they travel to take on their two closest rivals in the Skeena Valley.
Of the eight games on the Community Television schedule for this season, six feature the Rampage, while the other two games showcase the intense rivalry between the Terrace and Kitimat squads.

Dec. 15 -- Rampage vs. River Kings (live from Terrace)
The North Coast Review contacted Chris Armstrong, CityWest's Marketing Director to explain some of the key considerations that the communication company had to review prior to making their plans for this year.
The first and foremost issue was that of safety for the technical crew that provides for the CIHL broadcasts, with road conditions a major concern during the winter season, the decision to limit the travel requirements quickly became the main focus for CityWest.
Add in a request last year from the Rampage to curtail the home game broadcasts and CityWest came up with an approach for 2018 that should provide for an opportunity for the Prince Rupert squad to continue to build on the interest in the team, while securing its position when it comes to home dates and gate receipts.
"Our primary concern is safety, and we didn’t want to promise that we would be broadcasting certain games only to cancel them at the last minute in case of a blizzard. On top of that, we were not approached by the Rampage to broadcast their games this year. We broadcasted one of their games last year, and we were asked to stop broadcasting them live. We respected their wishes, and with the understanding that nothing had changed since then, we created our broadcast schedule for the rest of this year without any Rampage home games." -- Chris Armstrong, Director of marketing CityWest
One additional bonus for the CIHL this year, will be that the schedule will also be broadcast in the Smithers area, something that hopefully will help to rekindle some interest in the Bulkley Valley.
A three month long reminder for hockey fans in the Smithers area that could help to bring a return for that region to the Senior Mens' league.
Heading into the 201819 season the CIHL hosts five franchises; three in the Northwest, two in the Cariboo region.
