Refs Clinic/Bantam Hockey match up on the PRMHA calendar today
Established or aspiring referees are at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre today taking part in a one day clinic to learn their craft, or expand on their skills, part of the BC Hockey and Hockey Canada supported program.
The call for referees is one that is a challenge at times to fill as the hockey season starts, with the refs an key element for hockey programs across Northwest British Columbia.
There are three levels for refereeing in British Columbia
Level 1 -- For ages 12 -15
Level 2 - Minimum of 16 years
Level 3 -- Minimum of 18 years
Today's clinics started at 9AM and continue through until 3 PM, the majority of the clinic is theory work in the Raven Room with some on ice work to take place following.
If you missed today's clinic another is being held in the Terrace area next weekend.

Hockey fans can take in some early season Bantam Hockey today as well, as the Prince Rupert Bantam Reps take on the Terrace Bantams with a 4 PM puck drop at the Civic Centre.
