A weekend event at the Seal Cove Neighbourhood Pub has brought in a bit of additional cash to help support the work of Gunter and Nancy Golinia at Prince Rupert Wildlife Shelter.
With the Kitimat band 'The Rats' in town on Friday, the pub donated half of the cover charge on the night towards the Wildlife Shelter, with close to 500 dollars raised from those patrons who took in the bands performance on the night.
The Pub also highlighted some of the work that the couple do at their Shelter and how volunteers and donations are always welcome towards the operations at the McNicholl Avenue shelter location, just off of the eastern end of 11th Ave East.

In July, the Golinia's were provided with their BC Community Achievement Award, which they had been recognized for back in April.
North Coast MLA Jennifer Rice delivered the Achievement Award as part of a July 13th celebration at the Shelter.
