With Prince Rupert residents heading into week number Two of the latest of Boil Water Notices for the community, the local Gitmaxmak'ay Nisga'a Society is continuing its work to lessen the burden on its membership, offering Free Water Refills through the Nisga'a Hall.
The project makes use of an in house filtration system at the Nisga'a Hall and provides an opportunity for members to fill up their 2.18 Litre containers Twice a week, with members to fill up from the basement of the Hall accessible from the read of the Third Avenue facility.

The recent surge of extreme weather on the North Coast resulted in the return of the Boil Water Notice following the first of two storms last Monday.
So far the City of Prince Rupert has not provided for any further updates on the situation related to the water supply taken from Shawatlans Lake.
