Blog Watching, Week Ending December 1, 2013

This week, issues of the North Coast Fishery top the list, followed by items on a pair of tragic traffic incidents that claimed lives, the next career for a former Prince Rupert teacher and the arrival of WestJet in the Northwest round out our top five items viewed from November 25-30.

The top item of the week:

A Community-Based Fishery the goal of organizers of a community forum next week,    Background on a forum for Wednesday December 4th, that will look at the challenges of the fishery and how designing a community based fishery may answer them.  (posted November 27)

That top item was followed by:

Highway 16 Closed between Prince George and Vanderhoof, Details of a Friday accident west of Prince George that claimed two lives and resulted in a closure of the highway for a number of hours (posted November 29)

Former Prince Rupert teacher takes the reins of NDP's Kamloops-South Thompson Constituency, The latest career shift for Former School District 52 teacher Peter Northcott, found an engaged audience over the last couple of days  (posted November 29)

The West Jet era arrives for Terrace,  The much anticipated arrival of WestJet in the Northwest took place this week, with the first of the airlines scheduled flights between Terrace and Vancouver taking place on Monday  (posted November 25, 2013)
