BC's provincial budget and the discussion about the ongoing protests around the province and nation made for a fair bit of interest for readers of the blog this week, with a number of readers checking out our notes on the provincial scene.
Basketball and Hockey also dominated the reading list for the week, with our items of note on the various Charles Hays Secondary Rainmaker teams generating a large audience, as did our preview of this weekend's CIHL playoff series with the Terrace River Kings.
More closures for Prince Rupert's business sector also made for a busy news review for the week, as two more popular locations were forced to close their doors at the request of the landlord of their building.
However, the most read story of the week brought us to the legislature and the political themes in Victoria.
Skeena MLA Ross calls out past NDP comments and asks Government to condemn 'eco-colonialist actions of radical groups" -- It has been a raucous two weeks so far at the BC Legislature as the debate and discussion related to protests in British Columbia and Canada takes hold. Charles Hays set to host Senior Boys Basketball Zones this weekend -- Less than a week after the end of another exciting All Native Basketball Tournament, Hoops fans continued to follow the game this time at the High School level, with our notes on three of the Charles Hays Rainmakers teams finding some strong audiences. In addition to our look in at the Senior Boys tourney, readers also explored our items on the Junior Boys in Langley and the Preparations for the Senior Girls trip to Provincials next week. Rampage and River Kings ready to rumble as CIHL playoffs continue -- Rampage fans were quick to check out our preview of this weekends CIHL showdown between Northwest Rivals Prince Rupert and Terrace. It proved to be a rough weekend for the Ramapge though, with Terrace taking both the Friday and Saturday contest to claim the series 2 games to 0. (posted February 21, 2020)
