Pop Up Ecology Centre begins three weeks of exhibits

A preview of what may one day be a permanent project got underway this morning with the opening of the Pop UP Ecology Centre on the Prince Rupert Waterfront, with the North Coast Ecology Society launching their three week long exhibition in the Northland Cruise Terminal location.

Their displays will showcase the ecological diversity of the North Coast and those on hand will be more than happy to explain the inter connection found on the North Coast between humans, animals and environment.

The Pop UP event will run Wednesday through Sunday from 10 AM to 4, with the exception of Fridays when it will be open from 5 to 8PM. The last day for the collection of exhibits to be o view is August 15th.

The suggested admission for those attending is Two Dollars

Prince Rupert City Council members had a preview of the summer plans and those for the future at their June 28th session, when Caitlin Birdsall from the Society provided a presentation that charted what organizers hope will see a permanent site in place to showcase the North Coast and its ecosystem.

Those with an interest in helping out financially with the project can explore the Go Fund Me page created to help put on the summer experience for the community. Their call for the public was a well received one, with the Society reaching their original goal of $5,000, you  can help them build for their permanent plans through their site.
