Some strong winds are charting a course for the North Coast this afternoon and evening with Environment Canada issuing a Wind Warning early Tuesday morning for coastal areas.
The Weather Service advises of a A deepening low pressure centre will push northwards just to the west of Haida Gwaii this afternoon through this evening.
Winds will rise to southerly 90 km/h over exposed coastal locations of Haida Gwaii and North Coast late this afternoon and then ease near midnight.
The winds will bring with them Rain by Wednesday making for a forecast of precipitation ahead for much of the week and into the weekend.

The Marine Forecast has a Storm Warning currently in effect Wind southeast 10 to 20 knots increasing to southeast 20 to 30 this morning then becoming southeast 25 to 35 near noon.
Winds then increase to southeast 35 to 45 this afternoon then becoming southeast 40 to 50 early this evening.
The Winds will diminish to southwest 35 near midnight and to southwest 15 to 25 overnight, then becoming southwest 15 Wednesday evening.
Seas will build to 2 metres by noon then increase to 4 metres this evening before subsiding overnight.
