Taylor Bachrach made use of his speaking time in the House of Commons on Monday to once again push for a national solution to the passenger transportation debate across Canada.
In his comments he delivered a petition to the House calling for a national solution to the transportation issues across the nation.
"As everyone in his place knows, Greyhound's withdrawal of service last year has left Canadians, especially rural Canadians with fewer transportation options than ever. The petitioners are calling on the Federal government to show real leadership on this issue by creating, or empowering a national public corporation to connect communities within every province and territory via safe, affordable, accessible and integrated bus and rail service"
The Petition that Mr. Bachrach delivered to the House on Monday was opened up for participation on December 9th 2021 and closed for submission on March 9th.
1,273 signatures were collected as part of the initiative.

The petition was just one of a number of initiatives that the MP made use of this year has consulted with constituents through his social media and household mailers and in February hosted a virtual Community forum on Bus Travel in northwest BC.
