Blog Watching, week ending September 21, 2014
With fall seeming to be knocking on the door, the flow of information on events around the North Coast is increasing, with the last seven days providing for a range to items of interest to look back on.
As part of our weekly review, every Sunday we offer up a recap for the week of the top five items viewed over the course of the last seven days.

This week, the race for City Council would seem to be starting to percolate, at least if the interest in some of our items of this week on the theme are any indication, accounting for two of our five most read items.
LNG terminal development also made for a popular topic, as did the suggestion that the City may be looking to join other Northwest communities in seeking more benefits from the large scale of proposed projects in the region.

Blair Mirau enters race for Prince Rupert City Council -- A new name for the Prince Rupert political scene launches a bid for a seat on City Council ( posted September 17, 2014 )
Council giving thought to joining Northwest Alliance Initiative -- The Mayor provided a thumbnail sketch of recent efforts from the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine to engage in discussion on economic development with the provincial and federal governments, as well as with industry proponents. It's project that the Mayor says Prince Rupert Council may wish to join in on, with the promise of a report on the initiative to come before Council. (posted September 18, 2014)
