Classes have been underway for over a week now at the Prince Rupert campus of Northwest Community College and this week, students and staff will receive the official welcome back, as the college hosts its annual Orientation Day on Wednesday.
Events get underway at 11:30 tomorrow, with a welcome meeting in the Library.
A pick up lunch will be provided at the Multi-Purpose Room starting at the Noon hour, following which students can join their classmates in a number of locations for Orientation towards a number of the programs currently offered at the Prince Rupert Campus.
You can learn more on the Orientation Day sessions from this link to the NWCC website, which outlines where students should go to take in the sessions of note for their studies.
On September 11th, another information session will provide some background for students that are eligible for Personal credits through the Residential School Settlement Agreement.
Expanded information and contacts for that program can be found here.
One more item as part of the Fall Welcome series comes up on September 16th.
That is when the Prince Rupert Campus hosts a Career Fair. Those that attend will find representatives from Prince Rupert businesses and industry, all who will be on campus to answer questions about career paths on the North Coast.
That session runs from 11:30 am until 1 PM in the Multi-Purpose Room, with a light lunch provided for those that participate.
