Curling Club meeting set to explore fundraising options for new ice plant for Seal Cove Curling facility
With Prince Rupert's 2019-20 Curling season on the rocks owing to issues with the Seal Cove Clubs ice plant, members of the Prince Rupert Curling Club will be able to get an update on the plans for ice plant replacement and upgrades for the facility.
As well as to share some ideas towards fundraising for the new ice plant needs.
As we outlined on the blog back in the fall, the membership received the bad news for this year in October when the first note of peril for the season was relayed.
Since that time the Club has been exploring a range of funding opportunities that may help towards their goal of getting back on the pebbled ice in Prince Rupert as soon as possible.
Towards momentum on the fundraising plans, the Curling Club will host the planning meeting this Monday, January 20th at 7 PM at the Seal Cove club.
One of the first of the fundraising events for 2020 is coming up in February when the Club will host a Quiz Night on February 7th at 7 PM. The fundraiser event will feature a 120 entry fee per team, with the vent to feature eight people per team.
To enter a team in the fundraising event contact Natasha Lebedick through Facebook or at 250-600-1972
More details on the event can be found through the Prince Rupert Curling Club Facebook page.
