Port of Prince Rupert to Host information session for potential Community Investment Fund applicants

The Prince Rupert Port Authority is hosting an information session next week, a gathering designed to help residents and community groups learn more about the workings of the Port's Community Investment Fund.

The Fund which provides financial assistance for community projects has delivered on a range of initiatives around the Northwest since it was set up in 2009.

Over the last ten years the fund has invested over 10 million dollars and offered assistance towards 70 local legacy projects in a range of disciplines.

Among some of the areas where funding has been allocated towards in that time are:

Sports, recreation, arts, culture, health, education, the environment, and other needs in the community.

You can learn more about the application process, as well as what kind of funding is available from the Port from the Information Session set for Wednesday, January 8th at the Port Interpretive Centre with the event a Noon to 1 PM gathering, with lunch provided.

The deadline to reserve your spot is January 6th.

The Information session has been set up as the Port begins to prepare for their annual call for proposals.
