City Hosted Infrastructure Forum goes tonight at the Lester Centre

The City of Prince Rupert will chart the course of
infrastructure work to come as part of tonight's
Town Hall at the Lester Centre

Prince Rupert residents will have opportunity to learn of the expansive infrastructure replacement program soon to get underway in the community, as the City of Prince Rupert prepares to rebuild its aging and failing conduits under city streets.

With all of their funding now secured, Mayor Pond, City Council and staff will share the blue print for the way forward tonight, with the Town Hall Meeting set for a 7PM start at the Lester Centre of the Arts.

The schedule calls for a Two Hour event, with the event page created for tonight's forum indicating that 174 people have shown interest towards the event so far.

The City has also advised that tonight's event will be streamed live on the City Website , through CityWest Channels 10/310 and the City's Facebook page

The event will also be recorded for the city's YouTube feed, so those that perhaps can't attend it will have opportunity to hear of the city's plans.

The Town Hall forum was organized before last month's string of Emergency Room closures at Prince Rupert Regional Hospital, so it will be interesting to watch to see if some of the health care concerns in the community merge with the city's focus on infrastructure.

More notes on the City's infrastructure challenges can be explored through our archive page.
