A range of consumer goods went up as of April Fool's Day, with price increases at gas pumps, liquor stores and onboard BC Ferris among the areas where British Columbians are paying a little bit more heading towards the summer of 2024.
For many, the most notable jump comes at the gas pump, part of the increase to the Carbon Tax program though in Prince Rupert the prices are all over the map three days after the April Fool's Day increases.
Those who filled up on gas on March 31s were paying 1.69 per litre, one day later there was some price shopping to do for those looking to fill up their tanks.
The Best deal to be found today is downtown at 7-11 at 1.71 per litrewith prices increasing as you head out towards the Industrial Park Petro-Canada location.
