Port Edward residents will be looking at a 3 per cent property tax increase for 2024 should the District council approve of their Budget plans as part of their schedule of April meetings, with the Final Reading of the Five Year Financial plan Bylaw to come April 23rd.
An update for residents has been posted to the District website that notes of some of the spending by the District, as well as their plans for adding amenities through partnerships.
The Report for the public also notes of the development of a framework with Prince Rupert towards future partnerships for both communities.
Residents the District who wish to comment on the Budget plans for 2024 can contact the Mayor or Council by 4 PM on April 9th or relay their thoughts to the Director of Finance by email at lpage@portedward.ca

Hopefully there is a line item in the budget to refresh that awful yellow stationary.
