Northern Health introduces new orthopedic surgeon for Prince Rupert Regional Hospital

A welcome change from recent announcements of Emergency Room Closures and a hopeful sign of forward momentum for doctor recruitment in Prince Rupert from Northern Health today. 

That as the Health Authority announces that a new Orthopedic Surgeon will take up duties in the community in Mid April.

Joining the PRRH medical staff is Dr. Islam Elnagar, MD, FRCSC, Northern Health notes of his speciality in upper extremity and trauma, and completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, followed by a fellowship at the University of British Columbia focusing on upper extremity and trauma. He brings with him a wealth of experience, having been in practice since 2021, with a primary focus on elective upper extremity orthopedic pathologies.
