WorkBC Find Your Fit tour sets up at Charles Hays Secondary today

What's ahead for the province's in demand occupations will be on display for close to four hours today at WorkBC arrives in town with their interactive presentation called Find Your Fit.

The project takes WorkBC across the province to outline the various trades and other skills that are available for those currently in the school system offering up some career planning tools for those looking to chart their career path into the future.

The event is also of interest to parents, teachers and career counsellors, by offering new looks at career exploration for students and the nature of British Columbia's job market at this time.

The event at Charles Hays runs from 3:15 to 7 PM and is open to all members of the public.

Following the Prince Rupert stop, the tour is off to Kitimat on the 27th, Houston on November 1st and Burns Lake on November 3rd.

Find Your Fit Tour arrives at Charles Hays Secondary today

A four hour window into what are the upcoming hot career options in British Columbia will be on display this afternoon and evening at Charles Hays Secondary School, as the Work BC Find Your Fit Tour arrives at the city's east side school.

The interactive event is available for those from Grade 6 and up and gives participants the chance to test try out some of the skills they will need for anticipated careers that will be in demand across BC in the years to come.

The hands on program is designed to help youth apply some real life experiences into their career planning, by learning more about some of the key career areas and what students will need to know and learn to gain access to them.

Thursday's event starts at 3:15 and continues until 7 PM at Charles Hays on Prince Rupert Boulevard. 

It's open to all students, their parents and other family members and there is no cost to attend.
