Earl Mah Aquatic Centre heads into summer shutdown
Everyone is out of the pool and they'll be that way until the first week of September as the City of Prince Rupert's Recreation Department uses the month to conduct the annual shutdown of both the Earl Mah Aquatic Centre and the Fitness Centre.
General maintenance is taking place through the month with cleaning of the pool and fitness centre among some of the work to be done. If all goes according to plan, both facilities will re-open to the public on Tuesday, September 6th at 6:30 AM
Any updates related to the month long shutdown will be posted through the Recreation Department Facebook page.
The Civic Centre will remain open through the month with a number of recreation programs taking place to bring summer to an end.
Summer Camp Programs are in place for Children ages 6-8 and 9-12
A look ahead for the Fall 2016 programs is available now through the Recreation Department website with the Fall Active Living And Community Resource Guide provided online.
For those that were looking to take part in the start of Online registration today for the Fall programs, there has been a delay in the launch of the process which was supposed to start this morning.
An update on the situation is expected to be provided by the Rec Department by 5 PM today.
