The budding scientists of Lax Kw'alaams get their chance to discover with Science Camp August 15-19
The week long program is available for Lax Kw'alaams youth in Grades 1 to 7 and takes place from August 15 to 19 from 10 AM to 4 PM, cost of the camp is free and registration forms are available at the Recreation Centre front office, or parents can sign their children up first thing on Monday morning.
Parents are reminded that campers must have their own snacks, lunch and beverages.
There are two Camps in place as part of the program:
The Junior Scientist Camp for Grades 1 to 3
Bio Blasters for Grades 4 to 7
The Summer Science Camp program has been taking place across the Northwest for much of the summer, Prince Rupert is currently hosting this weeks edition, with the Camp taking place at the downtown campus of Northwest Community College.
Some background on what the camp is all about can be found from our blog item from back in June of this year.
