Keep your eyes on the skies! As CF 18 Demo team makes pass over Prince Rupert and other NW communities today

Prince Rupert skies will feature a CF188 Hornet today
as the CF 18 Demo team delivers a tribute to health care workers

Providing the weather cooperates, Prince Rupert residents will have an opportunity to watch for a special tribute to health care workers today, as the Royal Canadian Airforce CF 18 Demo team makes a pass over the city, with a particular focus on the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital.

The fly bys are part of the RCAF's Operation Inspiration, which have seen similar fly overs take place across Canada. The CF18's are based at Cold Lake Alberta and Bagotville, Quebec

“The team has been working hard to be ready for this season and it's amazing to see it all come together. We are excited to take to the skies and demonstrate the awesome ability of the CF-18 while paying tribute to the military members supporting Canadians through domestic operations every day. We are honoured to participate in Operation INSPIRATION with the Snowbirds this summer and look forward to flying in a sky near you. ” -- Captain Daniel Deluce, 2021 CF-18 Demonstration Team Pilot

The Northwest tour includes Smithers, Terrace, Kitimat and Prince Rupert, with the CF18 to start its flight at 12:30, when exactly it will arrive over Prince Rupert is not listed, but you'll know when it's near, with the roar of a jet over the city.

The flight pattern over Prince Rupert includes a fly over the city, as well as pass by the Museum of Northern British Columbia on the waterfront and PRRH on Summit Avenue.
