Some new views ahead for Northern View, as latest reporter for Black Press Media joins local media contingent

Reporters in Prince Rupert have a new member to welcome to the club, with this weeks print edition of the Northern View featuring a new addition to the reporting staff for the Third Avenue West publication.

Making the move to the North Coast is Norman Galimski, he fills the position posted in July by Black Press for a Multi-media journalist, the position at the Prince Rupert outlet part of the Federal Government funded Local Journalism initiative program.

Mr. Galimski most recently filed news stories for the Victoria Times Colonist, while following the ongoing activity at the Fairy Creek forestry dispute on Vancouver Island.

He provided a heads up for those that follow his work earlier this month when he outlined his future plans as part of his journey in journalism.

While we await his first byline on local themes for his new employer, you can catch up on his travels as wells as to drop him a line and welcome him to town through his twitter feed.
