Busy as he is as (let's check our notes) yes, the sole reporter for CFTK TV in Terrace, Joshua Azizi the Prince Rupert based video journalist for Bell Media in the Northwest will be adding on to his work experience in the year ahead.
The CFTK staffer signing on to a national mentorship program that works to build on the experiences for journalists nation wide.
The local journalist shared his excitement at the path ahead last month through his social media feed.
The national program matches up journalists from across the nation with mentors who offer guidance and some experiences of the past for those coming up in the national media ranks.
This years initiative received 201 applications for mentorship pairings.

Mr. Azizi has been matched up with Naida Tchoumi, journalist and Executive Director of the Canadian Association of Broadcast Journalists.
He is the only journalist or broadcaster from the Northwest to take advantage of the mentorship program.
