Another rumble along the fault lines off of Vancouver Island, with a 4.5 temblor recorded at 5:44 PM on Saturday afternoon, located 183 km West SouthWest of Port Hardy.
The offshore quake was reported to have a depth of 10 kilometres, but thus has far has not registered much in the way of notice from Vancouver Island residents.
No tsunami warning was generated by Saturday's seismic event, the latest in earthquakes in the 4 to 5 magnitude range along Vancouver island and Haida Gwaii in recent months.
The most recent activity was last Monday evening in much the same area, where a 4.7 earthquake was recorded.
