Terrace RCMP seek public assistance into investigation into Highway 16 fatality

Terrace Mounties are investigating a highway fatality
which took place east of the Skeena Valley city this morning


The Terrace RCMP is investigating the circumstances into a single vehicle crash on Highway 16 this morning, with Terrace Mounties looking for the help of the public to fill in some details hopefully as to what transpired.

Members were called to the crash site on Highway 16, near Kleanza Park Road 16 kilometres east of Terrace this morning at 10:43. 

Upon arrival responding officers found that a commercial vehicle with an empty flatbed had gone off the road and down an embankment.

The driver of the vehicle, and lone occupant was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Terrace detachment further notes that, the investigation is ongoing and causal factors are not yet known. 

The BC Coroners Service is also conducting a parallel investigation to determine cause of death.
