In their final distribution of COVID related supports, the Prince Rupert organization was one of 21 different agencies to receive some form of assistance from the United Way program. The August program delivery has seen an investment of just over 349,000 dollars in a range of goods and services provided to communities across Northern BC.
In total 25 programs that are in place in the 21 communities have shared in the United Way's distribution plans.
On the North Coast, the Prince Rupert Indigenous Housing Society has received food supplies as part of the United Way program. The food distribution program has been an ongoing one for much of the summer.

“The UWNBC team is pleased to support such a strong and valuable initiative to help our most vulnerable right when it’s needed most. Our mission is to connect resources to local needs in Northern BC and we are proud to say this fund has brought a new and exciting opportunity to communities right across the region. Thank you to the government agencies and people that made this all happen!” --Trista Spencer, Executive Director, UWNBC.
