MLA Rice celebrates a birthday and floats a gift suggestion for those who may be inclined

It's a happy birthday to North Coast MLA Jennifer Rice today, with the NDP MLA celebrating the 46th year of her birth today, the occasion marked on her social media stream with some Best Wishes from a number of friends and constituents.

Also of interest from her observation of the day is a suggestion for those that may wish to celebrate with her and can't quite come up with just the right birthday gift.

In a pre-birthday note of the weekend, Ms. Rice observes as to the work and commitment that it takes to support a political candidate and party, hinting towards a donation of 46 dollars in honour of year 46.

Noting that with tax credits that 46 dollar donation will only come to about $11.50 when you are finished counting out the twonies and loonies.

The remainder of the donation of course would be subsidized by BC taxpayers and their annual contribution to the provincial treasury at tax time.

Something that it seems will allow all British Columbians help out in the birthday celebrations for the day, though it would seem to allow for some leeway for some of us to say we're part of the "group gift"!

While the birthday accolades (and maybe some cash) continue to roll in, you can review some the MLA's work from the Legislature here.
