Prince Rupert RCMP launch online survey seeking feedback on community service

The Prince Rupert Detachment of the RCMP Is hoping to hear from Prince Rupert area residents, with the policing agency looking for feedback on how they serve the community.

The survey was launched through the Prince Rupert detachment's Social media stream this morning.

The on line engagement features 11 questions along with a segment for  further correspondence if desired.

Among the survey themes, how much we interact with the local members of the detachment, how effective we would rate the work of police in the community; as well as a call for residents to rank what they believe are the most important priorities for law enforcement in the city.

The short survey which shouldn't take too much time to fill out can be reviewed here.

It's not stated how the RCMP will relay the findings from the survey, but it does offer up a chance for City Council to invite senior officials from the detachment to a future City Council session to provide an update on policing in the community and where things could be improved.

Council members often suggest that those exchanges should be more frequent at Council sessions, but so far the follow up towards those intentions hasn't provided for any get togethers.

The Prince Rupert detachment's social media feed also provides some updates on recent Wanted files, with the members her and across the northwest fining some success in their quest to return those that were being sought back into custody.
