The probationary period is complete and for Marcus Jardim, that means he's set to be part of the team, with the Prince Rupert Fire Hall welcoming him aboard with a social media message earlier this month.
He joined the PRFD following a recent call for applicants and was put through his paces over the last ninety days, his arrival just the latest in what is a bit of the changing of the guard at the Fire Hall, with veterans taking their retirement as new comers come aboard.
The success for Mr. Jardim gaining a nod of congratulations from the Port Edward Volunteer department as well.
There will soon be another welcoming message to come, the Prince Rupert Department is currently in the process of the last few days for applications from their most recent call for those who are interested.
That application period which opened in January, comes to an end on Friday February 17th, you can review the requirements from the City's Employment page here.
