For residents in the City of Prince Rupert, the closures will include City Hall, the Ridley Island landfill site and the Recreation complex, all of which reopen for business on Tuesday.
The Monday holiday has also shifted the second Council meeting for the month to Tuesday, with the City's elected officials to meet in Council Chambers at 7PM on Tuesday.
The Public Hearing related to proposed changes to building height allowances in the downtown area will take place at 6PM on Tuesday.
Monday will also see the Prince Rupert Library closed for the day.
The Regional District Recycling Centre in the Industrial park will also be closed on the Monday.

Port Edward does not have any official notice posted to their information streams, but it's likely that they too are following the same course of action as the City of Prince Rupert and other municipalities.
The Post Office and financial institutions and services also get the day off, Northern Savings noting of their closure Monday through their social media stream.
We're on our own when it comes to making our way around town on Monday, wth BC Transit noting that the will not have Transit Service on Monday in Prince Rupert or Port Edward.
