The efforts of a Prince Rupert EHS paramedic who helped his neighbour escape from a home fire in September has been recognized by the Emergency Health Service.
On Friday, BC EHS made note of the work of Sasha Beer who assisted in helping his neighbour Arnold Nagy escape from the 8th Avenue east house fire.
The Fire call saw the PRFD respond to a kitchen fire in mid September.
Mr. Beer who was off duty at the time and lives in the area, had assisted prior to their arrival by alerting the resident to the incident.
