Rainmakers hitting their stride as Northwest Zones loom on horizon

The Charles Hays Rainmakers have the weekend off from regional play this weekend, that following a strong performance at their recent homestead, where the won all three games on the play day schedule.

The Three game sweep included victories over Caledonia from Terrace, Smithers Secondary and Haida Gwaii.

From those results and play in weeks previous, Coach Ryan Bishop notes that the the team defence is looking very good now, having improved as the season has moved forward.

Offensively the team has seen Josh Aparicio, Kole Leighton, Jon Clifton and Darren Buskin among others putting up some big numbers on the scoresheet in recent games.

Once their break from action is over, which comes with the All Native Tourney in town, the Charles Hays Senior Boys have games with Caledonia next Friday and Saturday.

That's followed by the Northwest Zones competition which will take placate weekend of February 24-25.
