A Special Committee of MLA's will soon be taking to their duties of review of the province's Personal Information Protection Act, legislation put in place in 2003 to oversee how information is collected and used by the private sector.
Earlier this year, the Legislature put in motion its plans for the review and how they will be consulting the public on the issue, a plan which of course has had to see a bit of a change in these times of COVID that we find ourselves in now.
Monday, the Committee issued a Call for public input, with British Columbians invited to participate by tele video conference at a public hearing later in June.
The registration period is now underway with those wishing to participate having until May 29th to register for the June event.

The timeline of the engagement period takes residents to mid August when the last of any written, audio or video submissions must be in.
