COVID Notes for Northern BC makes for very positive review

As we move into June and communities begin to expand on their restart plans, the news from Northern Health as to how the Health Authority's area of service has fared in times of COVID makes for quite a positive snapshot.

From the statistical review to date, the range of measures and efforts of Health Authority officials across the North and Northwest have clearly been rewarded, with Northern BC continuing to trend in a very positive direction when it comes to how the coronavirus has impacted on our lives.

The report is highlighted by three key elements,  0 patients currently in hospital, no patients in ICU and 0 deaths to report since the pandemic first took hold in January.

The growth of new cases, never really a large number to begin with, has also slowed with the province's daily updates showing consecutive days now of only 64 confirmed cases for Northern Health, with 63 of those now considered to be recovered.

The results were taken from the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control which provides a daily update on British Columbia's response to COVID-19.

As of today, Northern Health has made some changes to the operations of their Online Clinic and Information line, with new hours in place.
