North Coast Innovation Lab introduces Master's Students and program plans for summer of 2020

ecotrust Canada's North Coast
Innovation Lab has four
programs set for
the summer of 2020
The North Coast Innovation Lab has provided a glimpse into some of their plans for this summer, introducing the group of Master's Students who have come to Prince Rupert to launch a number of programs in the region.

From storytelling to food security, Restorative Ocean Farming and Business innovation the summer months will provide for opportunities for the community to become involved in the work of the four students who bring their skills to a quarter of projects.

This placement makes for the third cohort of graduate students to work with Ecotrust Canada’s North Coast Innovation Lab, a place-based initiative in Prince Rupert, which is located in the Capitol Mall on Third Avenue West.

Among those taking part in the program and the initiatives this summer are:

Lori Hamar, Project Coordinator Raven Tales Storytelling Revival
(Change Makers Education Society)

Carly Checholik, Food Security, Program Coordinator
(Gitmaxmak'ay Nisga'a Society)

Mary Williams, Restorative Ocean Farming, Program Coordinator
(Coastal Shellfish Corporation)

Janet Song, Program Coordinator Business Innovation
(Prince Rupert and District Chamber of Commerce)
