Close to Forty three thousand dollars in renovations have taken place at the 11th Avenue East 333 Trinity Men's Recovery House, as the Port of Prince Rupert and community partners combined their resources towards the work.
The project details were released today in an information statement from the Port which notes that from the 42,712 dollar investment the facility now has an enhanced reception office, personal lockers, new outdoor storage, and other services that improve operations and regulatory standards.
Port of Prince Rupert President Shaun Stevenson made note of the work of those who live and work at the local Recovery House.
“The Prince Rupert Port Authority is proud to support the 333 Trinity Men’s Recovery Home and the men there who are working through the challenge of the recovery process. Our organization is stronger through supporting the communities we live and work in throughout our region.”
333 Trinity Men’s Recovery House is a local live-in service for men who are recovering from addictions, and is currently the only one operating in Prince Rupert.
The facility has nine beds available for its clients, who live together at the home while working through the program.
Graham Edwards, the Program Director at 333 Trinity Recovery House outlined how the renovations will be a welcome addition to the facility.
“This renovation was made possible through support we received from the Prince Rupert Port Authority. It allows us to speed up the intake process of men when they first arrive here at the house. Our focus is to get someone new settled and into recovery as quickly as possible. There is a lot of paperwork required, and our new office gives our staff and clients the privacy they need to complete an intake. We are very grateful to PRPA for recognizing the value of the work we do here and supporting us.”
A video presentation provides more background on the work at facility and how it serves the community can be viewed below.
