Wind Warnings Issued for North Coast, Haida Gwaii; Snowfall Warning for Inland regions

A blustery, wet and for some a snowy forecast is ahead for Haida Gwaii,
North Coast and Inland areas of the Northwest 


What Environment Canada calls an intense weather system is about to make itself known on the North Coast and Haida Gwaii. making for a mix of weather conditions tonight and tomorrow.

From West to East, the Weather Double Play starts with a WIND WARNING for the North Coast and Haida Gwaii, with Southeast winds set to arrive at 90 km/h  gusting to 110 km


The weather system will be a rain driven forecast for the North Coast and Prince Rupert area with the rain to begin this afternoon before taking a break on Friday, resting again on the weekend.

The inland weather event features SNOWFALL WARNING from Kitimat in the south to Stewart in the North the heaviest of the snow to arrive in the Terrace/Kitimat region by Thursday afternoon.

The weather system will linger over the inland region and depending on how the temperatures evolve could make for accumulations through the next 24-48 hours.
