City on the search for Payroll assistant and Ice maker in latest job postings

The City of Prince Rupert is currently taking applications for a pair of positions recently posted to their website jobs listings.

The first career opportunity is in the Finance Department, with the city seeking the services of someone to help ensure that the  250 civic employees get paid on time, that through the Payroll Coordinator post, listed as at 20-25 hours per week.

The City's recent Budget approval process included a request for a part time payroll employee.

Over at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre Arena, the City is seeking the services of an Ice Maker II/III, a permanent post with membership in CUPE Local 105.

Both positions are listed as available until filled.

The city recently concluded its labour negotiations with CUPE, though few details of the contract have been released by City staff. The deal is in effect for a four year term.
