The Prince Rupert Garden Club has put out the call for volunteers this coming weekend, as they make plans for the annual planting program for the city's urban oasis of the Sunken Gardens.
The Gardens are a popular place for local residents to take advantage of through the summer, as well as a destination of note for tourists and other visitors to Prince Rupert.
It'a s particularly popular stop for those coming off the Cruise ships berthed just a few metres away at the Prince Rupert Cruise Terminal.
The work is scheduled for the Gardens behind the Prince Rupert Court House for Saturday May 27 and Sunday May 28, with the planting work to take place from 11 AM on through the day.
