Prince Rupert's Visitor Information Centre has moved into their temporary digs on the Cow Bay Area waterfront, with the staff helping visitors and locals alike find the attractions from the Bright Yellow Container that is part of the Waterfront Container Marketplace.
Located adjacent the Prince Rupert Cruise Terminal, the temporary centre offers much the same as it did in its permanent home in the Atlin Centre which is currently under renovation.
From community maps to suggestions for walking excursions and directions to the local shops visitors to the city have already taken advantage of the location to get their bargains in Prince Rupert.
The Visitor Information Space is staffed uesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm, plus extended hours on cruise ship days.
The Visitor Centre will have their next busy period with cruise visitors arriving this Mother's Day, when the Princess Cruise Lines vessel Ruby Princess comes to town with an 8 AM Arrival time.
That sets the stage for a busy final two weeks of May with four vessels to call from May 18-24
Tourism Prince Rupert is also looking to add to the attractions of their new Container Marketplace putting out a call for Food Truck operators to get in touch with them about opportunities to feed the masses of arriving visitors.
