BC Highway Patrol remind motorists of Summer Counterattack program

The summer holiday driving season is now upon us as residents of the North Coast head off on any number of adventures whether a weekend in Terrace at Lakelse Lake, or travels further down the Highway 16 corridor and beyond.

And as we hit the road for the summer of 2023, the BC Highway Patrol has a reminder that safety is Job one for those on the road and that they will be keeping an eye on the travels on the highways all summer long.

July has been dedicated to a Summer Counterattack program for the BC Highway Patrol, as their members patrol the roads on the lookout for any impaired motorists.

Towards that, the Mounties note they will have an increased presence on the highways, along with check stops to be set up around the province.
